FeedAgentX Connect is a WooCommerce product feed connector for OpenAI Ads. Connect your store to FeedAgentX to review catalog data, validate products and prepare a hosted product feed for Ads Manager.
Keep managing products in WooCommerce. FeedAgentX reads your catalog through a token-protected connection and helps you follow the delivery process: store synchronization, feed download, catalog import and optional API updates.
WooCommerce product catalog synchronization
Bring product titles, descriptions, prices, stock availability, images, categories and variations into FeedAgentX. Review your products and validation issues before preparing the catalog. WooCommerce remains the source of your product information; catalog reads do not edit your products.
Hosted product feeds and CSV export
Create a hosted feed URL for scheduled catalog imports in OpenAI Ads Manager, or download the generated CSV for inspection and manual upload. Each store has its own connection and feed configuration.
Enter the hosted URL, username and password separately in Ads Manager. Follow the guided setup and check the provider’s import result. A successful store sync or file download alone does not confirm a successful import.
Optional OpenAI Ads API updates
After the first catalog import, you can connect an Ads API key for supported title, price and availability updates to existing items. Delta API updates supplement the full catalog; they do not replace it. New products and other changes still require a full catalog refresh.
Store synchronization and provider processing take time. An accepted API submission does not prove that the updated value is already applied or that an ad is serving.
Built for WooCommerce store owners
- Connect your store using a revocable plugin token.
- Synchronize simple products and product variations.
- Review catalog validation and product selection in FeedAgentX.
- Prepare a CSV product feed or a hosted feed URL for OpenAI Ads.
- Keep connected stores and their catalog settings separate.
- Inspect synchronization, import and API submission status.
- Use plugin diagnostics to troubleshoot the source connection.
Requirements and service access
This plugin requires WooCommerce and a FeedAgentX account. See the available plans and catalog limits. OpenAI Ads account access is separate and is required to use its advertising and feed features.
The plugin exposes a protected catalog API. Its token also permits synchronization acknowledgments and settings ownership requests. Only a WordPress administrator can approve a settings ownership change. Keep the token private and rotate it if exposed.
What FeedAgentX does not do
FeedAgentX does not create campaigns, process orders or payments, or enable checkout inside ChatGPT. OpenAI controls account access, supported markets, catalog processing, product eligibility and advertising approval. No placement, impressions or sales are guaranteed.
FeedAgentX is an independent service. It is not an official OpenAI or WooCommerce product.
Setup guides and troubleshooting
The FeedAgentX documentation is public: it covers installing this plugin, the hosted feed, checking an import, API updates and what each error means. The blog has longer guides to ChatGPT Ads product feeds.
External services
This plugin connects your WooCommerce store to FeedAgentX.com, a third-party SaaS platform operated by FeedAgentX. The plugin itself does not make outbound calls; instead it exposes a token-protected catalog API that the FeedAgentX.com service pulls from after you connect your store. The token also permits sync acknowledgments and ownership requests; ownership changes require a WordPress administrator approval.
What data is shared with FeedAgentX.com:
- Product catalog data: titles, descriptions, prices, stock levels, SKUs, brands, categories, image URLs, product attributes, and variant data.
- Store details used in the feed: site name, home URL, site timezone, store currency, store and target countries, and the privacy policy, terms and return policy links with return acceptance and deadline.
- Catalog settings: search, checkout and Ads eligibility defaults, Ads metadata, excluded categories, who manages Ads settings, and product and pending-change totals.
- Plugin and platform metadata: plugin version, schema version, WordPress / WooCommerce / PHP versions, and when the API token was created (never the token itself).
- No customer records, order data or payment details are read or transmitted.
When data is shared:
- Only after a site administrator copies the API token from FeedAgentX Connection and pastes it into a connected workspace at FeedAgentX.com.
- Every request must include a valid Bearer token. Rotating the token on the Connection tab replaces it immediately; requests with the old token stop working.

- FeedAgentX.com — Terms of Service: https://www.feedagentx.com/terms/
Server configuration (recommended)
The plugin writes diagnostic logs to wp-content/uploads/feedagentx-logs/.
The directory is protected from direct web access by .htaccess (Apache) and
web.config (IIS), which the plugin generates automatically.
If your site runs on Nginx, those files are ignored. Add the following block
inside your server config to deny direct access to the log directory:
location ~* /wp-content/uploads/feedagentx-logs/ {
deny all;
return 404;
}
The logs contain route names, error messages and migration events. For requests
refused for a missing or invalid token, or for going over the rate limit, they also
record the requester’s IP address, to help you spot failed connections and brute-force
attempts. Logs stay on your server and are deleted after the log retention period
(14 days by default). Authentication tokens are never logged. Production sites should
still block external reads.
Security notes
- All endpoints require a Bearer token; tokens compare in constant time
(hash_equals) and rotate from the admin UI. - Authenticated requests have a per-token rate limit (default 120/min).
- Failed-auth requests have a per-IP rate limit (default 10/min) to defend
against brute force and log spam. - Logging defaults to INFO level with 14-day file retention.
- Log directory is protected with
.htaccess+web.config; Nginx admins
must add the rule above.
License
This plugin is licensed under the GPL-2.0-or-later license.
It shares catalog data and store settings only with the FeedAgentX.com account you connect it to. It does not read customer or order data.

Instalacija
Requirements
- WordPress 6.2 or later
- PHP 8.1 or later
- WooCommerce 5.0 or later
Steps
- Install the plugin from Plugins Add New in your WordPress admin, or upload the
.zipand activate it. - Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active.
- Go to FeedAgentX Connection.
- Copy the API token shown on the Connection tab. Keep it private; use Rotate token if it is exposed.
- Sign in to FeedAgentX and add your store URL and plugin token. Wait for the first catalog synchronization.
- Review products and validation issues. Open the store’s ChatGPT Ads setup and create a hosted feed URL.
- In Ads Manager, create a feed for this store. Enter the URL, username and password separately, configure its schedule and review the first import result.
- Optionally connect the Ads API after the import. Choose the feed containing this store’s catalog and confirm the match.
The plugin’s REST endpoints supply source catalog data to FeedAgentX. Use the hosted URL or CSV generated by FeedAgentX for Ads Manager, not the WordPress source endpoints.

How do I create a WooCommerce product feed for OpenAI Ads?
-
Install FeedAgentX Connect, add your store URL and plugin token in FeedAgentX, and review the first catalog sync. Follow the hosted feed setup, enter its separate credentials in Ads Manager and check the import result. You can also download the generated CSV.
-
Do I need an OpenAI Ads API key for the hosted feed?
-
The hosted feed uses its own URL, username and password. The optional Delta connection uses an Ads API key for supported updates after the initial import. An OpenAI model API key is not an Ads API key.
-
Does the plugin support WooCommerce variations?
-
The catalog connection includes variation data. A parent product can produce multiple feed rows, so the number of feed rows may differ from the number of products in your store.
-
Are product price and stock updates instant?
-
No. Timing depends on store synchronization, the feed fetch schedule and provider processing. Supported Delta updates apply to existing catalog items; other changes require a full catalog refresh.
-
Does installing the plugin make my products appear in ChatGPT?
-
No. FeedAgentX prepares catalog data for OpenAI Ads. Account access, feed processing, advertising eligibility and ad serving are controlled by OpenAI. Installing the plugin does not guarantee product placement or enable checkout.
-
Can I use the plugin without a FeedAgentX account?
-
A FeedAgentX account is required for the catalog workspace and generated feed. Review the pricing page for current plans and limits.
-
How is the store connection protected?
-
Catalog requests require the plugin’s Bearer token. Rotate the token in the Connection tab if it is exposed, then update the connected store in FeedAgentX. Never put it in a public URL or support screenshot.
-
No. The connection exposes product catalog data and store settings, not customer records, order data or payment details. See External services below for exactly what is exchanged.
-
Where can I get help?
-
Read the setup guides. Signed-in FeedAgentX users can send a support request from the app; it includes the store’s sync and feed status, so you do not need to send screenshots of this plugin.

Protokol změnow
2.3.2
- Adds a „Connect your store in three steps“ card to the Connection tab, with the Store URL to copy and links to sign up, sign in, the setup guide and support.
- The setup guide link opens the public documentation at www.feedagentx.com/docs.
- Clearing the change log now records the cleared history, so FeedAgentX re-reads the whole catalog on its next sync instead of missing changes deleted before it fetched them.
- The authenticated rate limit’s help text says what it does: it cannot be turned off, and the minimum is 1.
- The readme lists every store detail shared with FeedAgentX and says that logs record the IP address of refused requests.
2.3.1
- Adds a descriptive plugin name and a brand icon to the admin header.
- Rewrites the plugin description: hosted feed first, optional Ads API updates, and what the plugin does not do. Removes the outdated screenshot list.
- No changes to settings, stored data, the token or the REST API.
2.3.0
- Supports moving Ads settings to FeedAgentX, with explicit approval in WordPress before local Ads controls become read-only.
- Reports excluded category IDs, full paths and exact-term scope consistently in health and feed responses. Existing source category filters remain active.
- Shows the settings owner and links to FeedAgentX; preserves legacy controls for stores still managed in WordPress.
- Keeps Search and Checkout settings independent of Ads ownership. Health requests never change ownership.
- Aligns catalog counts with source filters and clears ownership metadata on uninstall.
2.2.0
- Stable OpenAI product schema: canonical is_ads_eligible, independent search/Ads controls and explicit return acceptance.
- Nine required fields; policies and countries are optional except where checkout requires them.
- Stable wc-ID identities survive SKU edits and prevent SKU reuse from replacing another item. Run a full SaaS sync after upgrading.
- Event-ID pagination and acknowledgments prevent same-second and multi-page change loss. The updated backend requires this version.
- Variation removal updates the parent, so remaining variants stay in the feed.
- Active-sale prices follow WooCommerce’s displayed tax convention. Scheduled discounts are not published early.
- Actual brand resolution, GTIN checksum validation, variant options and public URL checks. Parent GTINs are not copied to every variant.
- Adds source IDs and explicit per-product overrides for reliable SaaS revalidation.
- Uses WooCommerce’s native GTIN getter without PHP notices. Tested with WordPress 7.1 and WooCommerce 10.2.3.
- Clarifies the OpenAI Ads product-feed workflow and separate checkout eligibility requirements.
2.1.0
- OpenAI flat (file-upload) spec compliance: the feed now carries every required flat field.
- Eligibility flags are back as first-class settings —
is_eligible_search/is_eligible_checkoutare required by the spec; new optionalis_eligible_ads. Store-wide defaults with per-product overrides on the product edit screen (Advanced tab). - Brand is now emitted per product via the brand resolver (required field, max 70 chars).
- New per-variant data: scalar
gtin+mpn, sale price window dates, weight + dimensions (with units),is_digital, pre-orderavailability_date(WooCommerce Pre-Orders). - Availability enum aligned with the spec:
pre_order(waspreorder), newunknown;discontinuedremoved. - Feed header now includes
store_country,target_countries(new multi-select setting), and the seller block (name, URL, privacy policy, terms, return policy). - Validator rewritten around the flat spec’s 18 required fields and conditional rules; error paths use flat field names.
1.0.0
- Initial public release.
- Read-only REST API for the OpenAI Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP) „Upcoming“ schema (Product Variants nested).
- Variant expansion: variable WooCommerce products emit one Variant per WC variation.
- Full feed (
/feed/full) and cursor-based delta sync (/feed/changes) with explicit/feed/changes/ackendpoint. Authorization: Bearertoken authentication, per-token rate limiter for authenticated requests, per-IP rate limiter for unauthenticated requests.- Per-product brand resolver (Woo Brands, YITH, Perfect Brands, meta, attributes).
- File-based daily-rotated logger; log directory protected by generated
.htaccess+web.config. - Settings page with Connection / Feed / Brand / Diagnostics tabs.
- Clean uninstall: drops plugin table, removes options, clears scheduled events.
- Requires PHP 8.1+ and WooCommerce 5.0+.
